Illinois Valley Community Hospital - IVCH

What kind of impact does your community hospital make?

At Illinois Valley Community Hospital, we take pride in delivering clinical excellence and compassionate service to all. That’s why we believe extraordinary care is more than exceptional medicine – it’s investing in the future of our patients, neighbors and communities.

In 2010, the people of IVCH helped improve lives beyond our walls in many ways:

  • More than 40 IVCH employees and their families, including Maureen Rebholz, RN, volunteered to repair the homes of 11 area low-income elderly and disabled residents for the United Way of Illinois Valley’s Labor of Love project.
  • We gave $478,000 in charity care and wrote off another $2 million in unpaid patient bills, with the help of doctors like Paul Bonucci, MD.
  • Joan Fernandez, RN, and other staff members contributed more than 2,500 pounds of food to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry.
  • Ricardo Calderon, MD, donated time to educate local emergency medical technicians to help raise their level of care to the paramedic level.

Even more ways we gave back…

  • IVCH is a major sponsor of local fundraising events that benefit the March of Dimes, Alzheimer’s Association, Arthritis Foundation, and the Illinois Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.
  • IVCH pharmacist Jennifer Sines organized the local P2D2 prescription drug and syringe disposal program to help keep dangerous chemicals out of the environment.
  • Several employees teamed up to enter and ride an IVCH-themed float in the annual Peru Christmas Parade.
  • IVCH supports the jobs of over 600 people in the Peru area and generates $123,076,000 in local economic activity.

Next time you need hospital care, trust the cutting-edge technology, state-of-the-art facilities and highly skilled medical team at Illinois Valley Community Hospital. You’ll be investing in the betterment of your health and our communities!
