Diabetes Health Care Center
Take control of your diabetes, ask your doctor for a referral!
The Illinois Valley Diabetes Center offers first-class services for those dealing with pre-diabetes, gestational diabetes, and Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. The Center is accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and is taught by certified diabetes educators, pharmacists, dietitians, physical therapists, and nurse educators.
If you or someone you know has diabetes, Illinois Valley Community Hospital offers a comprehensive program that includes diabetes self management classes, in addition to individual appointments with a dietitian and a diabetes nurse educator. Diabetes self-management education includes gaining the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary for taking control of your diabetes. Our mission is to empower people of all ages to appropriately self-manage their diabetes so they may benefit from lifelong good health.
