Physical rehabilitation services
Orthopedic & sports medicine clinic
Robert Mitchell, D.O., Medical Director of IVCH Physical Rehabilitation Services.
Orthopedic surgeon Robert Mitchell, D.O., receives patients at an orthopedic and sports medicine clinic from 2-5 p.m. each Monday and every other Wednesday at the IVCH Center for Physical Rehabilitation and Aquatics.
You’ll notice the difference
Appointments are required but they can be made on the same day by calling 815.223.2143, the phone number of Illinois Valley Orthopedics, the medical practice of orthopedic surgeon Peter Meier, M.D., and Dr. Mitchell.
All ages
If you have the sort of aches and pains in your bones and joints that can be helped by a visit with an orthopedic specialist, you should take advantage of the clinic, which sees patients of all ages, including:
- High school athletes seeking treatment for injuries suffered during practice or competition and who are anxious to “get back in the game.”
- Older adults having problems with what the medical profession calls “activities of daily living.” If you're not moving as well as you want to because of musculoskeletal pain, decreased range of motion, or back pain, a visit to the IVCH orthopedic clinic may be in order.
- Anyone, really, whose ability to walk, run, reach, lift, grasp or pivot is hampered by injury or illness.
IVCH advantage
After your condition is diagnosed and a rehabilitation plan set, you'll have the advantage of receiving therapy treatment in the most modern rehab center in the Illinois Valley. Located in the Miller Building at the Illinois Valley YMCA in Peru, the IVCH Center for Physical Rehabilitation and Aquatics puts you under the care of a team of therapists working with the most modern rehab equipment available locally, including a large warm water therapy pool.
It all begins with a Monday morning phone call that can get you on the way to moving and feeling better by Monday afternoon.
