Job Description


Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations under the direction of and for subsequent evaluation by a radiologist. Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment for the performance of all ultrasound procedures at a technical level. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structures, functions and anatomy to effectively produce ultrasonic images of diagnostic quality.


Education / Experience: Registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) preferred; If not ARDMS, graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist program with 2 years' ultrasound training/experience; If radiologic technologist, valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Valid licensure State of Illinois.

Licensure / Certification: If Radiologic Technologist, valid certification by the American registry of Radiologic Technologists; Valid licensure in the Sate of Illinois; Current CPR certification.
