New Year's Resolution - Cooking at Home

Cooking at home is one of the best things you can do for your long-term
health. If you don’t cook at home, I want to encourage you in the
New Year to get started. Just start with easy recipes and keep it simple
and healthy. If you often eat out, you can order the one thing you really
want, take it home and add veggies, fruit, whole grains, dairy or whatever
nutrients are missing to make your meal balanced. If you cook at home
but are in a rut from eating the same foods all the time or if you cook
unhealthy meals but want to make small healthy changes, go purchase yourself
a great cookbook or cooking magazine. You can always surf the internet
for healthy recipe ideas to get you motivated. Don’t forget you
can also see a Dietitian or visit your local grocery store Dietitian for
great healthy ideas. Try new things! Variety is the key to good health.
If you already cook well balanced meals at home, with an occasional treat
once in a while, great for you! You are doing your body good for many
years to come!!!!
