Illinois Valley Community Hospital is easing some visitor restrictions
as part of Phase 3 re-opening of the state of Illinois.
Beginning Monday, June 8, obstetrics patients who have sonogram appointments
and all day surgery patients will be allowed to have one person accompany
them into the hospital. The visitors will be screened and required to
wear masks at all times. If you are accompanying a day surgery patient,
you will have to stay in the patient’s room at all times.
Patients coming to IVCH for laboratory or other tests must wear masks and
not sit closer than six feet between each other in waiting rooms. The
hospital’s housekeeping staff will increase the frequency of disinfecting
waiting room furniture, according to Tommy Hobbs, IVCH chief executive officer.
“Assuming current COVID-19 downward trends continue, there will be
additional changes to the visitor policy in the coming weeks,” said
Hobbs. “I am hopeful we can continue a consistent but safe increase
in visitors going forward.”
The IVCH COVID Hotline at 815-780-3425 and our IVCH Care Today urgent care
