Patients & Visitors
Patients
It is our privilege to serve you during your time of need. We offer a variety
of special services designed to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable
as possible.
Identification Bracelets
You must wear your plastic identification bracelet at all times while you
are a patient. This will help ensure that you receive the correct medicine
and treatment.
Infection-Control Measures
IVCH has established stringent infection-control procedures to protect
our patients and staff. As part of this effort, you may notice the hospital
staff wearing gloves, gowns, masks and/or goggles when caring for you.
Your doctor and nurses will explain all of our infection-control procedures to you.
Interpreters and Communication Assistance
IVCH has access to interpreters for patients who require it. Arrangements
also can be made for other communication assistance, as needed.
Medical Records
A complete medical record is kept for each admission to the hospital. This
information is available for reference by your doctor. The record, including
x-ray film and laboratory slides, is the property of the hospital.
Notary Public
If you require the services of a notary public, please tell your nurse.
He or she will arrange for one to visit your room to assist you. There
is no charge for this service.
Transportation Services
If you need a ride to IVCH, an IVCH physician office or the Hygienic Institute,
please contact the NCAT transportation service at 833-433-6228. NCAT offers
weekday service in wheelchair-accessible vans. There is a fee for this service.
